About This Game Rush to Adventure is a retro fantasy speedrunning adventure. Inspired by classic NES titles like Zelda, Mario and Castlevania. You awaken on the shore of a cursed island. Your only way off the island is to fight the monsters and lift the curse.Exploration and actionThe game is divided into two parts. You explore the non-linear island in a top-down view. This is where you talk to islanders, visit shops etc. The levels are played as a side-scrolling platformer. You must reach the end of the level or fight a boss to unlock more parts of the island.Adventure and speedrunningSlay monsters to gain xp and level up. Collect coins to buy items and weapons. At the end of each level you are scored and receive a rank. Play for the adventure or replay levels for better times and higher scores, to improve your rank. Highly replayable through ranking system and 4 difficulties 41 levels (6 types: fields, forest, cave, tower, graveyard and temple) 5 golem mini-bosses and 4 bosses 9 high quality retro NES style songs 14 different swords, shields and armors 4 attributes to level up (strength, health, stamina and speed) 3 unlockable abilities (Dive Attack, Power Attack and Sprint) 8-bit NES style graphics and gameplay 7aa9394dea Title: Rush to AdventureGenre: Action, Adventure, Indie, RPGDeveloper:Digital AwakeningPublisher:Digital AwakeningRelease Date: 11 Sep, 2017 Rush To Adventure Activation Code [Patch] I can't suggest this if you've already got thousands of games in your library and having difficult locating the ones you want to play, before you die, through all of the shovelware. This is an amateur title and very minimalistic but the developer has demonstrated they have the basic idea down. Assuming the developer is probably in Jr. High and not asking much for this game to start with I don't want to discourage a good effort or ambition and therefore I'm adding another thumbs but I seriously wish Steam would open a site called 'Steam Shovel' and move all of the kiddy-bopper Gamemaker games to it as it's very hard to discern what to take seriously nowadays since even big development houses are using retro graphics.. This is an extremely well done game. Developed by one man over a period of 5 years from what I have read. And believe me that really shows. Everything is very well polished and it just feels very good.PLEASE don't let the (very well done!) pixel art make you think this is just a quickly thrown together game. That is not the case at all (that's generally those 3D games that use free assets! LOL). What you are seeing is the result of I am sure hundreds of hours spent on just graphics work alone. All done from scratch. With that out of the way... the game looks very good. You have to really experience it in action because I believe the screenshots don't quite do it justice. It is very colorful and just very visually interesting. Everything is quite detailed in fact.More importantly than just "looks"... the game feels very well balanced. It is so obvious the developer spent many hours and iterations play-testing and tweaking everything to near perfection. It feels GOOD. It feels RIGHT.Everything is well polished starting with the simple title sequence the way the options and other "windows" in the game appear to the way the enemies telegraph their attacks and so forth.Really it is just an outstanding game and MUCH better than many other games I have played. It is an easy to play hard (well takes time) to master kind of game. You actually gain experience and levels. And then you can power up one of 4 different attributes of your character. I don't want to spoil the surprises but I will say you can also find places to learn new skills such as new attacks.Give the game a try and I think you will easily be able to see the care and attention to detail put into it. Clearly this is a true labor of love and not just another dev trying to "get rich quick".. Everything about this game screams quality: - tight, interesting and fun controls - I love how you have to time your attacks so that your shield is ready to block projectiles.- good difficulty progression- interesting enemies that you need to study the movement patterns to beat- great NES pixel graphics- great audioI can understand why this took the developer 5 years to make. It is a labour of love. I think that this is a very underated game, and I highly recommend it.. Clearly this is a true labor of love and not just another dev trying to "get rich quick".. I wanted to start off by saying the developer is asking for people to review this game. This shows great confidence and the ability to accept constructive feedback is so rare. I would like to play it some more and leave a more detailed review, but for now here is what ive got.So far this game for its price is great. It has speedrunning potential that is reminescent to classic games I grew up with as a child. The controls are precise\/tight and the challange involved is well recieved. Armor\/ weapons\/ stats are a bit plain, however straightforward enough to be reasonable. I will update once I get further in, but so far its an entertaining game.. A very well crafted game with good amount of enemies to kill and dungeons to explore.. I rarely play platformers, however I liked this game!Controls was smooth and the gameplay was enjoyable!
